Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: June 6, 2026

Travel and Timeis reader-supported. To keep our tools and guides free, we use affiliate links. When you click one of these links and make a qualifying purchase or booking, we may earn a small commission — at no additional cost to you. This page explains exactly how that works and which programs we take part in.

What Affiliate Links Are

An affiliate link is a special tracking link to a product or service on a partner's website. If you follow it and go on to buy or book something, the partner pays us a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee. The price you pay is always the same as it would be without the link, and we never add any markup.

Amazon Associates Program

Many of the products we recommend — particularly travel gear, luggage and accessories — link to Amazon. Travel and Time is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Product prices and availability on Amazon are accurate as of the date and time shown on each product page and are subject to change; the price displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase is the price that applies.

Travelpayouts & Travel Partners

For travel services — such as flights, hotels, airport transfers, travel insurance and eSIMs — we participate in Travelpayouts, an affiliate network that connects publishers with travel brands and booking platforms. When you search or book through one of these links, the relevant travel partner may pay us a commission, again at no extra cost to you. The travel brands reached through Travelpayouts have their own terms and privacy policies that govern your booking.

Affiliate Links Do Not Influence Our Recommendations

This is the part that matters most. Our recommendations are based on research — published specifications, manufacturer information and aggregated verified-buyer reviews — not on which partner pays the most. We add affiliate links to products and services we consider genuinely worth your attention, and the presence or size of a commission never determines whether we recommend something, how we rank it, or what we say about it. We are not paid to write positive reviews, and a commission does not buy a better write-up.

How Commissions Work

  • When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set a cookie so a later purchase can be attributed to us.
  • If you complete a qualifying purchase or booking within that partner's tracking window, we receive a small referral fee.
  • You pay the partner's standard price — the commission comes out of the partner's margin, not your pocket.
  • We never see or handle your payment details; those stay with the retailer or booking platform.

FTC Disclosure

In line with the United States Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and with the Amazon Operating Agreement, we disclose that this website contains affiliate links and that we may be financially compensated when you make a purchase or booking through them.
